        The sun and salt air take a heavy toil on the shiny surfaces. Even varnishes with high UV
         protection require many coats a season. Opening and closing the can many times tended to
         damage the seal and flood the top with varnish. This is even when using care. But sometimes
         6-8 coats are needed.

         Then I was introduced to Aqua-Tainer Lids. I can open the can, store the lid out of the way
         and snap on a lid and things are a whole lot easier and cleaner. I've enclosed a photo of my
         "set-up". I'll never do it any other way. I've got a red, yellow and "clear" lid for the different
         finishes I apply. For easy movement on the deck area I always use quart cans.
                                                                                                                 

 An added feature I enjoy - beyond the easy opening and closing and keeping the can clean - is the ability to clean my brushes against the lip between the opening and pour spout. I was going through brushes like crazy. But, using that lip I can squeeze the varnish from the brush and store it in a coffee can rig and get two (2) coats out of a brush. The section I send the photo of took eight (8) coats. At almost a buck brush that's a savings that your lids account for.

        Painting anything outside in the great Pacific Northwest requires a great deal of patience 
        because of our wet climate. Waiting for the right day is just a part of getting a good job done.
        I was able to keep my paint in good condition until we dried out a few days so I could get that
        second coat of primer on and then the final coats of paint. This year it took a month from
        the first primer coat to the last touch up job. Your lids kept all the paint in fine condition.

        In addition, this has been the cleanest job I have ever done, mostly because I was able to
        pour the paint just into the pan and not all over the place. I am so pleased that your device 
        was there to help! And they clean up great, so I can use them again and again.
